APPLICATIONS

PyroPhotonics now has three applications labs running, in both Canada and the USA. Each lab is focussed on a different aspect of laser processing, but each one uses the same standard PyroFlex™-25 laser. For most of the last year we have focussed our attentions on the burgeoning Solar Cell manufacturing market. During that time, we have obtained groundbreaking results in almost every application we have examined, and in some cases (see, for example, our results on CIGS) demonstrated processes previously thought not to be possible without resorting to expensive and temperamental ultrafast lasers. It is important to emphasize that all of these results have been obtained using the same standard PyroFlex™-25 laser, nicely demonstrating our conviction that the unique flexibility of the PyroFlex™ platform is set to overturn the way the industry thinks about lasers and laser-based processing.
