Tullio Panarello, President & CEO

Tullio Panarello has worked in the optics field for over 12 years. He has held various management and senior management positions in marketing and engineering with EG&G in Vaudreuil, Canada (now PerkinElmer), and more recently with Lucent/Agere (now TriQuint Semiconductor). Tullio holds a Masters degree in Engineering Physics from McMaster University, and a MBA from Queen’s University.

Richard Murison, CTO

Richard Murison has worked extensively in the field of lasers for over 30 years, first with STC in Paignton, UK (now part of Bookham), then with RCA/GE/EG&G in Vaudreuil, Canada (now PerkinElmer). In 2000 he founded Alfalight Canada, serving as VP Canadian Operations and General Manager, and VP of Strategy and Product Management. Richard graduated from Loughborough University of Technology (UK) with a BSc in Physics, and has authored or co-authored several publications on lasers and semiconductor device physics and engineering, and several patents or patent applications in optical devices and applications.

Vittorio Fossati-Bellani, Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Dr. Vittorio Fossati-Bellani has over 30 years of senior management experience in the opto-electronic industry. He has worked at Coherent Inc, in the capacity of VP of Strategic Growth, Chief Marketing Officer, and President of Semiconductor and Telecom Groups. In these roles he provided strategic, marketing, and general management leadership which helped make Coherent a worldwide leader in its field. Since leaving Coherent, Vittorio has, through his own company Ergolase, provided consulting services to technology companies in the US and abroad. Most recently he served as Director of Business Development for DILAS, Inc. a subsidiary of Rofin-Sinar, specializing in semiconductor lasers for Industrial, Medical and Scientific applications. Dr. Fossati-Bellani is also active in applying his international experience to help non-profit organizations promoting social cooperation in developing countries.

Benoit Reid, Vice President of Engineering

Benoit Reid has over 15 years experience in technology and product development in the fields of optics, laser design and laser applications. He has held various senior engineering positions at Bookham Inc., Nortel Networks, EG&G (now PerkinElmer). Benoit holds a PhD in Engineering Physics from Ecole Polytechnique, Montreal. Benoit has authored or co-authored several publications on lasers, laser applications, optical properties of materials and semiconductor device physics and engineering, and has close to 20 international patent or patent applications on laser designs and applications.
